Hello,

my first post in this forum. My name is Ingo, I come from germany.

This is my first try with this famous enlarger lens. I think, it´s also a great camera lens. The color-rendition is fantastic and sharpness WO is ok.
That bokeh looks good to me.

Best regards

Ingo

Welcome Ingo. There is some people who swear about the quality of Rodagon lenses as applied to digital reflex. It is an experiment that I have been planning to do myself for quite some time.
What focusing distance are you able to reach with it?

I have used distance rings, macro bellow is the better solution. I think, infinity focus is possible, but i have tested only to 20m.

You also find the pics in original size here: http://www.pbase.com/inghar/test

Hi, Ingo!

Welcome to this forum.
Nice that you try to use an enlarger lens at your cam. Unfortunately, I cannot see the pics. (I guess this is because of the small post number restrictions.)

I also have played around with some enlarger and projector lenses...
This is what an Ennagon 2.8/85 looks like at an EOS:

And here are some shots with it:

I guess, these experiments can be worth some work...

Ingo, I just have checked your pbase account. Impressive!
Actually, I think the SD9 is a great cam for manual lenses. It is rather slow, only shoots in RAW and has a sensor that works like a film - that is pretty much as close to film as you can get with a digital SRL. Wink

You also have some very nice lenses. Please, allow me to post some of your WOW-lenses:
I'd like to underline that these shots belong to Ingo!

What a set just with these 5 lenses!!!

welcome Ingo
the rodagon is a very good lenses with a funny preset system
the register distance of the rodagon 80 is 74.5mm, on a canon (44mm) you need a macro ring of 30mm to reach infinity

Wonderful lens group, and beautiful images, Ingo!

I am happy to see that you have a Sekor 55/1.4. I also have bought this lens recently, but have not yet tested it, other than some very quick snaps. It looks to be a beauty, though. I was very lucky to buy it for less than $30, as it was simply attached to a camera that was for sale. The lens is worth much more than the camera was; in fact I gave the camera to someone and kept the lens.
