Anybody knows about the rikenon lens (PK mount) 50/2 with a "P", that it

would be a special series with better yield and high price?

I think it's a very good lens, but Ricoh mount and needs a small modification before it can safely be mounted to Pentax DSLR. I think it's equal or better than Pentax M50/1.7.

It's should be a cheap lens, not a special series. I think I paid £10 or £15 for mine.

I presume "P" stands for "Program" = Mount PKA

Lovely Mallard shots. I've never seen so many in a group like that before.

They were shot in jpg-format. They are resized and sharpened little. This lens is sharp if you get the focus right.

I agree, I always get some kind of weird Moiré like pattern when I shoot this duck up close.
Which Pentax camera did you use Riku, maybe its my Canon's sensor that causes me trouble?

I have K100D. Can you post a sample? I'm not sure what you mean.

I don’t keep any of my duck shots for this reason, but I always try to snap them in the local park during summer. The females are the real culprit with their brown feathers and black squiggly lines. I’m always thinking my shutter speed is too slow. I wait for them to stop walking at times, to be sure its not shutter speed, and I still get this Moiré like pattern. I’ll try the ducks again this summer and maybe post a thread about this phenomenon. Anyways, luv your ducks. I'm jealous.

Maybe its the result of over-sharpening ?

This certainly needs further looking at. I have my in-camera sharpening notched backed as well as my post. Maybe I should set my in-camera sharpening back further to its lowest possible setting. Confused "gulp"
