I used Nikon angle finder on Nikon for a little while, I found not useful to me so I sold it.

Hi Sorin, sorry I didn't see this before.

I've tried the Pentax angle finder on my Canon 400D. It fits on the eyepiece frame perfectly. I bought it to see it it would help with my long sightedness, but it doesn't magnify at all. It's useful for when the camera needs to be low down or when it's pointing at the heavens but otherwise there isn't any benefit for me. Also it covers the sensor and turns the screen off while it's fitted. I don't use it much.

PS it doesn't fit the Minolta XG-M eyepiece

Thanks guys.
Peter, for the same reason I look for a right angle finder who magnifies.
I thought the Pentax one does it. I know it's the Canon C who does that but it's way out of my budget.
Minolta I'm looking for ( see my sig ) it's the VN type, fits Canon, magnifies X2 and the worst of all, it's extremely rare on Ebay.

Nope, the Pentax angle finder doesn't magnify. But there's also the little straight magnifier Click here to see on Ebay. It magnifies about 2x and certainly helps a lot, espcially with wide angle lenses, but you can only see the centre circle, not the whole frame. It flips up easily though once you've focussed.

I used a 1,5-2,5 magnifier it wasn't much help a split screen or a focus confirmation is lot better deal.

Hi,

I have this beast and it does NOt fit either my XD-11 or my X400 eyepiece, being fractionally too narrow, it does fit older Pentaxes (but not my digital ones) and is a perfect match for my Contax 137MA...

Doug.
