Found this at a camera show. $7 for it, a 6" metal cable release, and a vintage wide Pentax strap.

Not much on the net on it, though it has a 28mm f/4.5 lens, a panorama mode, and a pretty flexible flash. WR apparently stands for weather resistant.

First roll results, Ferrania 400, CVS drug store scan

Yes, I didn't even know such a camera existed. A very nice find I think.

a disease, I tell ya Bill, one I have you to thank for the infection Laughing I just found me a FF9SD which is a limited edition transparent camera... and another FF8wr, for more than $7 this time... if it gets here in time it will be brother in law's birthday present (if not he gets the Dacora Matic 4d)... oh, these are NOS with the boxes and all, from a defunct camera store.

There were some good compact 35mm's made, I guess they are overlooked because serious photographers ( is that us ? Laughing ) demand full control over our cameras and the compacts take that away.
I've got a few in a draw that were given to me, were my dad's, and have just appeared from nowhere. I've also got a Samsung Vega 140s which I haven't tried yet but apparently won 'Camera of the Year' some time ago, and has a Schneider lens which is supposed to be excelelnt. Then there's the Olympus XA-2 that I found in a bag of 'stuff' from the charity shop, another award winning camera and a fabulous design with a Zuiko lens. I have a film in this at the moment and it's weird. You just 'point and shoot' - what a weird concept! Shocked But somehow, very liberating. I'm actually liking the XA-2 much more than I thought I would.

Jussi, are all these from the same Ferrania roll? Really miss those colors, think I still have a 100 roll left.

Lloydy, about the XA2, yes you don't need to even look thru the VF, I held the camera down to 4 inches from
the sidewalk and tilted it up, hoping I'd catch most of the building:

I'm thinking this would be a great stealth / street camera to use just like that. Cool That's a great picture.

A certain well known photographer who likes to give opinions on all things photographic on his website says "The best camera is one that doesn't get between you and a good photograph". These shots show why I agree with that statement. Nice results.

I still haven't got on well with an Olympus P&S, but that's probably because I haven't really tried one that works. The Ricoh FF series is bulkier but so far every FF I've seen does a good job. Although, on this FF8 the left edge seems to lose it, at least on some pics.

Bill, yes, all from the same roll of Ferrania 400. I finally put the last 4-5 rolls I have left in the freezer.

Is this a real panorama camera or does it crop the upper and down side of the frame?

It is of the crop variety, i.e. you lose negative area. But fun to do on occasion.

Would be interesting to see what happens if the two curtains will be removed. How much vignetting will the lens do.
