Hi all,

having always preferred a 45 degree split image for focusing, does anyone know whether the Reflex IV 45 degree split screen can be put into the Reflex III prism?

Thanks

AFAIK the iii is a rangefinder and the iv is an slr. Why not keep the iv screen in the iv?

Hey Tony,

the Reflex IV and Reflex III are both SLRs. The Retina IIIc/C are rangefinders.

The Reflex IV is in pretty bad shape but the prism assembly is in good condition. I have both a Reflex IV and Reflex III that will be worked on in the not too distant future so I'm trying to find out the info prior to the initial start.

There was also a retina IIIS that used (mostly) the same lenses as the iii and iv (as opposed to the 'c' lenses) that was a rangefinder. I did a little research and it seems that the iv changed the split screen angle to 45degrees.
