Long time off from posting any kind of images here, took me a while to finally get down to putting them online. Hope you enjoy and I didn't flood it with too many. In order of oldest to most recent.

CZJ 135mm - invisible moon over prague - you can just barely see the moon in between the 2 towers, towards the top of the clouds

Pentacon 500mm - same moon shot with the 500, I call them invisible moons because they aren't visible to the naked eye.

CZJ 135mm - super invisible moon - not a great photo, but the tiny moon (nearly at the 12 o'clock of the taller tower 1/3 of the way up) was the smallest I've ever captured.

Pentacon 500mm - 2 day old moon

Pentacon 500mm - 2 day old moon setting behind Prague castle

Pentacon 500mm + 2xTC - sunset behind Prague castle

Pentacon 500mm + 2xTC - sunplane

Jupiter 21M + 2xTC - sunset in the Zillertal valley

CZJ 135mm - foggy valley

Pentacon 500mm + 2xTC - sunset over Prague panelaks

Pentacon 500mm - sunset from Velka Bucina, Czech Republic

Pentacon 500mm - sunset behind Petrin tower

Pentacon 500mm + 2xTC - sunset behind St. Laurence church in Prague

Pentacon 300mm - shortly after sunset in Prague

Pentacon 300mm - spring colored moon

Pentacon 300mm - moon above St. Norbert church in Prague

Pentacon 500m + 2xTC - moonset behind Petrin tower

Pentacon 500mm + 2xTC - nature sunset in Prague

Pentacon 500mm - sunset behind Prague castle

CZJ 135mm - moonrise over Hungarian Parliament building

CZJ 135mm - start of the day in Belgrade

Pentacon 300mm - sunrise in Belgrade

CZJ 135mm - typical Prague rainbow

More can be found at my website, thanks for looking.

Unfortunately both my Pentacon 300 and 500 have run into some issues. Looks like I can still get them to work, but each of them have the same problem with pieces of the aperture falling out of place. Not entirely sure what to do as I don't really want to lose any time with them. See if I can get some help on the forums.

Gorgeous, looks like movie posters for a series of horror movies...

And this must be the cover of a 70's science fiction novel.

You've obviously done a lot of these, how do you predict the angle and choose these perfect shooting spots? Trial and error or some kind of chart or software?

I use a program called Cartes du Ciel which gives me an approximate sun/moon set/rise angle. I then draw out the angle in Google Earth (or using a protractor and a map) to see if I can get anything to intersect. There's issues with whether you're above/below the horizon, etc. which have an effect on the angle, but after a while it becomes easier to figure out.

Some of them are also just trial and error or dumb luck, you'd be surprised how much cool stuff is that far away on the horizon sometimes. #3 and #4 that you posted weren't planned. I also watch the sunset a lot, so I usually have an idea of what's possible to hit.

Great series.

Now I want a 500mm Pentacon. I don't need one, and I'll probably rarely use it, but I want one to add to my family of them. This Forum hates my wallet!

Those are amazing work! Many people couldn't capture that many shots of that quality in a year.
