I don't know. Many of the Zeiss N-lenses have been converted to EF-mount?

Contax N mount was a new mount Contax created when it ventured into AF. There were 9 N lenses (not sure if all the nine were produced before Contax cease production though). The 9 lenses are:

(i) 50/1.4
(ii) 85/1.4
(iii) 100/2.8 Macro
(iv) 400/4
(v) 17-35/2.8
(vi) 24-85/3.5-4.5
(vii) 28-80/3.5-5.6
(viii) 70-200/3.4-4.5
(Viii) 70-300/4-5.6
(The specs sheet of the lenses can be obtained from http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/service/download_center/contax_n.html)

Contax knew that the N lens range were not 'complete' thus offering a NAM-1 mount adapter so that Contax 645 AF lenses can be mounted on the N camera. I managed to download the compatible chart here: http://www.contaxcameras.co.uk/slr/nlenscompatibility.html.

Here are some interesting facts on Contax NAM-1 from http://www.contaxcameras.co.uk/slr/nlensaccessories/nlensaccessoriesadapter.html

One can use all lenses from 645 AF system. Furthermore " all automation and functions are retained along with lens focal length and aperture.*

By the way, Contax N digital was the only FF using CCD at that time. It was actually a 6M CCD sensor. Some interesting reading at http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/contax-n-digital.shtml

yes, thanks matthew. as i recall, there really werent any other lenses that could adapted for use on this n mount camera, though the n mount lenses were, with some pricey work on the lenses themselves, adaptable to canon e mount. so for all intents and purposes i believe this is a 'closed' system.

http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~westin/misc/mounts-by-register.html

register distance is 48mm so no other 35mm slr lenses fit

lens prices vary from moderate to crazy
