I have got this lens toady and I was curious if it's the same great performer as famous Pancolar 1.8/80

The minimum focusing distance is .65 m -

Camera - 5D Mk II.

ISO 800, 1/60 sec. fully open - f/1.8 - no flash

am i right expecting that you cannot focus to infinity, or did you do a conversion?

btw... great results!

PostPosted: Thu Feb 04, 2010 3:16 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Yes you can focus to infinity with a couple of different PB->EF adapter
available at eBay, though you may have to adjust their base thickness.

HK300 is selling one, and others on eBay. Some are expensive, some not.

I haven't done any conversion on PB mount lenses ...

There is an adapter available for EOS .. as Koji mentioned

The main problem on FF such as EOS 5D Mk II is the mirror ..

I have done shaving of my mirror but it's not enough for PB mount lenses ..

the mirror hits the rear part -- fortunately, the 5D Mk II has LiveView mode and this works great for lenses such as these ..

#5 is stunning and a beautiful model, doesn't she look like the #1 model?

The protraits are stunning, especially #4. Sharpness, skin-colour, just amazing.
