Post from Russia - any experiences with post from Russia?

I paid for a lens on the 19th November and was wondering whether it's now looking unlikely to arrive, or whether it's often slow?

I think it's normal, not all sellers ship immediately after payment, and due to provenience your package may have been inspected at the arrival.

Thanks both - I've got that lens coming from Russia, and another coming from Ukraine (but that's a more recent order). I shall be a little more patient Smile

Post from Europe has been very quick lately - CD's from France and Itally arived in less than a week, so I guess I've been spoilt.

Ask seller for registration number, 99% receiver custom office sitting on it. Ukrainian post is reliable post service I have never problem with them, we have pretty good custom office they process items fast.

I recently had two deliveries from Russia and the Ukraine - both were about 15 days or so. I suspect Attila is correct about the incoming inspection

Last item I got from the Ukraine took about 3 weeks - otoh, from Russia (Moscow) an adapter took 5 days, so probably less hoops to go through, being the capital with major air links.
