Maybe, maybe not... This one I like with less contrast. I do like contrasti photos, but doesn't like when I loose details with blacks.

Sure.
I understand what you mean.

The lowly Nikon Series E 28mm f2.8 in action again, this time at f5.6, I think. One of my favorite lenses, capable of very sharp images and the second smallest lens I own (only one smaller is the Series E 50mm). At the Olympic Sculpture Garden.

beautiful girl and I like the colour scheme. Normally I would say there's too much contrast between the pale skin and the bold lipstick
but in this case it somehow works, maybe thanks to the red background.

hm... do I have to vote? Yes... it's a contest... so sorry, I vote for girlfriend! Laughing Wink

More seriously, I think that the girlfriend photo was perfect. Your self portrait here, instead,
has a lighting that looks like a passport mugshot, sorry: perfectly descriptive, but no character.

I think you have a talent, so that is why I give you my advice (which sometimes may be critical)

I would simply not bother if you were untalented Smile

If you make a self portrait, I want to see the real Dani in the photo. Do I see him in this photo?
No, I see a police photo of Dani. Laughing
So work around that and show us a photo of the real Dani Wink

Meanwhile, an advance of "true Dani" Laughing Laughing
