Very interesting reading, Attila. Being a linguist, I followed most of the language links, which ended up taking me all over the place, from Hungary to Northern Scandinavia down to Turkey and across Eurasia to Japan.
The language spoken by the Turanids -- Turanian -- is somewhat unusual in that it is derived from two separate language families, Uralic and Altaic, implying a coming together of at least two of the cultures who spoke these languages -- probably the Turks and Hungarians. I'm sure there's probably some amount of history and politics surrounding this merging of the two cultures.
