Anyone have any experience of this, will this service degrade the original optical formula in any way?

Wildly speculations are of course also welcome. Very Happy

Gevorg at Araxfoto used to offer this service for $50. You just had to send him the front element of your lens and he had it repolished and multi-coated at the Arsenal factory. Unfortunately, I understand that he stopped offering this service in 2007. Too bad!
