Got that and just played around with it on a surprisingly sunny winter day on GH4...
All using f1.1 unless noted otherwise.

Part I - the park

Full set is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kds315/albums/72157690662733345

Too me a rather "cineastic" lens, I like the glow, which disppears when stopping down a bit,
but this I find rather pleasant for certain scenes...

Look rather good to me consider the price. This lens, together with the 7Artisans, show how well budget ultra fast Sonnar type lens can be perform.

Indeed, the front part reminds Sonnars a bit. The rest is rather exotic though.

Not really, if you consider looking at the original patent of Bertele from 1931...(and consider L3 an "air lens"):

which he then updated one year later to the classic Sonnar:

Nice pics!

What is the size and weight of this lens actually?

I am considering one of these, or else the 7artisans or the Mitakon 35 0.95.

Well, I recommend having a look at the specs at the makers site then!

Lovely work Klaus. I particularly like the use of flair. Good color, nice bokeh, and sharp enough wide open. I would wonder what was wrong if an f/1.1 lens wasn't glowing while wide open.

While it obviously isn't a 'classic' Sonnar it looks, to me, to be Sonnar inspired, both in the lens design and the images it produces. Even Zeiss couldn't get the classic Sonnar faster than f/1.5 so I can see why some changes were required to reach f/1.1.
