I will keep updating Picture Window Pro in this thread,

I am using Picture Window Pro for more than a year. I dont have money to cough up for Photoshop and GIMP takes all the processing of my computer and dont have Apple for Apple software.

This is very light weight (although sometimes take lot of resources, but all takes), and more like a emulator of wet dry room than an extension of graphics software.

These are key links,

Looking for someone using this great piece of software, although only Windows version is available. And yes, you will miss most (say all) of Photoshop plug-ins. But to me it provides most of basic photographic features. Although no layers, but great mask capability. weird curves controls,
But excellent "dynamic range" feature, it supports full 16-bit, it has one of best color balance tool (I think now available as plug-in to PSP) and most sophisticated mask tool you're going ever to see.

Tutorial on chromatic aberration correction with Picture Window Pro,

Will keep updating this thread whenever I will find any info...

I like this software for viewing, manipulating pictures such as resize, rename, convert etc. It has excellent batch process features. Exposure correction is also works very well.

Hi!

For the quick'n'dirty image work, Photofiltre is good and easy - and it's free!

Paint.NET also is a very useful and rather complete photo software.
