Thanks Attila & Poilu! Yeah, I'm getting to grips with the 5D. The only complaint is still that my photos are nicer when reviewing on my PC than on the camera itself. Just like the old times: you never know what you'll get until you get home! Laughing

The lens itself:

Do you have any idea from maker ? I saw Porst lenses in similar finish, everybody guess always Tomioka Laughing Laughing

I'm still unsure about the maker. This is an interesting topic though:

What to say,
Are You beleave now that 83mm Takumar doesn't mean anything if you are to make a good photo (it has only collectable overvalue).
Yours last beautifull photos confirm that THE HEAD makes the photo,
not a camera.
Congratulations Peter!

Peter: Were your pictures taken with a FF camera?

Peter, you're not a useful tester: whatever lens you test, it looks like the best lens in the market Laughing

Peter - Great pics.

I think the lens looks a lot like my Chinon 200/3.5. Maybe Tomioka?

Yes! As always the EXIF in my pictures is intact; so you can see which camera I have used (the 5D MkI). Maybe an EXIF plugin for your browser is a good idea?

This is becoming a running gag on this forum Laughing

Maybe, maybe not. But for me it's most important how it performs. I did forget that the diaphragm of this lens is still stuck wide open, so all shots were made wide open Cool Cool
