I was sorting out some shots and I thought that’s nice and detailed so I blew it up a bit

Hey, these are fantastic! I've always loved mine, it is very quiet but lethal. Much better than its reputation, I think many Pentax folks tend to be enamored by the more flamboyant color of other Pentax and Takumar lenses.

I like these very much. An interesting subject.

What piece of equipment was this attached to, looks to be 'used and abused'.

Looks like a Gardner 8L diesel engine in a railway locomotive.

Yeah the Pentax-A 28mm despite suggestions its the same optical build as the M series is a good performer. Robs images are great and confirm this to be true. Interesting subject with a good rendering of the glossy areas.

Interested point that Nesster makes about Pentax colours. I often test lenses against a side-hutch crammed with nicks and nacks. My wife often points out that her porcelain items always turn out a sort of sepia coloured white as opposed to the cold white which they are. I put it down to the superior coating formula which Pentax uses, its great for controlling flair but not so great for rendering true colours.
