If anyone's still looking for a macro lens for Pentax:

Click here to see on Ebay

On my computer, it looks like a normal auction with a 50€ starting price. Maybe the seller has modified the auction? Please note that this is a K-Mount lens, it will not fit on an M42 camera or adapter.

Cheers,

Abbazz

The BIN disappears the moment the first bid happens. Ebay are not consistent with this - sometimes the BIN remains - might be a seller option for an extra charge or it may differ region to region.

The BIN remains only when the seller has set a reserve price and the current offers have not reached it.

Ebay have definitely changed its behaviour - I recall several auctions on ebay US where the BIN remained all the way through until the end, which surprised me as on ebay UK it would disappear as soon as the first bid happened. The ebay US behaviour suited me fine as I might want to pay the BIN price anyway. They're always tinkering with things.

I found the behavior of ebay more logical
This auction Click here to see on Ebay was buyitnow 450e and go to 481e
If the buyitnow was accessible the seller could never sell such price
If someone wanted the buyitnow he should have take a quick decision otherwise he would have miss the 450e
But most of the time the auction is lower than the buyitnow and it's better for the buyer.
Just bid the buyitnow-1e and with 99% you will take it at a better price than the buyitnow
