I have a friend who fancies himself a photographer but is mostly a gear junky. He was over one time and noticed I had a nikkor on my 40D so I explained to him about manual focus, lens adaption, etc. The next day he calls to tell me he ordered a screw mount adapter for his K10d and a split image screen. Well yesterday he brought these two Acc. and a couple lenses for me to sell for him as he sold his K10d to buy a 40D(?). The funny part is the adapter and screen had never been used I don't want to bother listing them. If somebody here can use them please make an offer. Please be reasonable but sure you can be cheap.
Original Pentax brand M42-Kmount adapter in unopened package.
Split image focus screen for Pentax K10D never installed in plastic static guard wrapper and case(like flashcard case) Click here to see on Ebay
Pentax M 1.7/50 with caps Looks pretty nice a bit of dust inside as is normal
Bayonet takumar lens 2.8/28 Same condition as above so pretty good. I would not expect much from this lens it is a bargain line.
Send offer in PM highest by end of week gets it. |

What a silly man. Downgrading like that. Surely the 50mm is a bayonet aswell? Not a Takumar? _________________ My Flickr - Takumar.org

Yes it is an M-series lens with K-mount. He is silly. I really like the K10D. I don't think it is a big upgrade to go to the Canon. Only if you want to mount lenses the Pentax can not. But that is not the case for my friend. Like I said he is a gear junky not really a photographer. |

To be honest, I can't see it as an upgrade at all. The only thing I'd do it for is for the burst of 5fps (?) instead of 3. But I never need more then 3. . Apart from that I see no immediate pro of the 40D, especially if your into old lenses. Sure, you can mount some more, but you lose the shake reduction, which is SWEET to have on MF lenses.
I will however get a Canon 5D at some point as a secondary camera. But thats for landscapes etc _________________ My Flickr - Takumar.org
