A good friend of mine (who has an excellent camera collection. He's the one with the Hasselblad of the other thread) has lent me an SMC Pentax 2.8/24 for testing and playing.
I did not have the time to shoot a lot, but on first sight this seems to be a great lens!
What a pity that he doesn't want to sell it. Maybe I can talk him into that... Wink

Some shoots will follow in the next days.

Ooh. I am looking forward to this. the 24mm and 85mm are the only two I feel that I am missing.

Hallo Carsten!

It´s not easy to find a 24mm from pentax. I have the new 21mm and so I let out this lens, but the collector in me want another way, so the time will bring some decisions. Please send a lot of pictures.

regards Peter

Its a gem of a lens, has been my companion for the last 15 years (got it as a legacy of my Dad's love for Pentax lenses). The below image is taken with the 24/2.8 on my Mz5 on Velvia 100 (panorama mode: black areas cropped out). The scan is lousy but this was the only appropriate lens that I had to capture this breathtaking view.

Thanks. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I had a polarizer on (that accounts for the accentuated blue).
