I will do some thread necromancy since I do not see a reason to open a new topic - hopefully it's fine on this forum.

I recently bought a Prakticar Auto Zoom 24 2.8 on an impulse as a try-out-and-sell cheap lens and so far I am happy with it.

I didn't find and information on this specific Prakticar 24 2.8 incarnation, so I am just adding two pictures (shot on DM Paradies 200 film and AGFA APX100 - I do not really remember the aperture for the APX - possibly wide open, f8 for the DM Paradies)

Is it better then my Flektogon 20/2.8? Not really.
Is it a 30 EUR worth 24mm lens? Definitely.

From now on we can see your shots! It's an anti-spam measure!

I have such lens with Praktica mount (PB).
But I still can’t try to take a picture, because I have Pentax camera.

Is a 1993 Prakticar brochure someone posted on FB. I've uploaded it as a Flickr album.

Apparently the lenses were mainly made by a Samyang and Sigma, though IOR from Romania also made some.

There's a 28/2.8 in there (see below) and the 135/2.8 is exactly like the one I've got. What other lenses were produced after that, once the brand effectively just became a licence, is another matter..
