Hello fellows!! i have got a pentacon 50/1.8 lens ,i got this lens few months back ,it was nicely cleaned ,but now due to rainy sseason here it has caught some fungi!!!! i wanted to know that is the 2nd and 3rd elemt cemented ,or there is a way to dismantle them!!!!please see the photo to better understand what i ask



though i must say the fungus dosent cause any appreciable loss tio image quality till now!!!

no body has cleaned a pentacon 50?????

I cleaned several pentacon lenses but it was long time ago and i cant remember if the elements are cemented. If the fungi is between the elements I would forget about it (unless you want to experiment and pay more than buying another one on the bay).

If you want to separate the elements it can be done but then later you will need to cement them again which is not the easiest of jobs. You can get the glue relatively cheap on the net but not as cheap as buying another one of this (maybe).

Here are some good instructions for re cementing doublets. ( Not that I've tried it, but this guy seems to have done it with success a few times )
