I need to remove the black anodising from around the rear flange on my Pentacon 30mm/3.5 lens so that it shorts out the electrical contacts on the camera body. I don't want to do it in situ as I risk getting dust etc into the lens.

If I remove these three screws, will the surround come off without the lens falling to bits?

Thanks for any pointers Very Happy

Graham

Sure you can Smile
Dont worry, the first part with the 3 screws is only a cover.

Instead of ruining the finish of the lens, perhaps you might find a feeler quage or brass shimming material to do the shorting between contacts?
