Only zoom what is not Japanese. Made by Carl Zeiss Jena in Germany. I saw a few times only always went above 500 USD. Quality I believe very good and if I remember as well Koji have it.

Ask Koji; he has the Vario-Prakticar with the same specs if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: Attila was earlier Wink

Klaus,

Carl Zeiss Jena also built another zoom lens, the 80-200/4, in both M42 and Praktica B mount, called Vario-Sonnar and Vario-Prakticar respectively, and I have the former version.

In terms of specifications and appearance the Vario-Sonnar and its Contax-Yashica mount namesake are quite similar, although the optical constructions are quite different.
