Options for Sony Nex-6 Bulb mode

I'm trying to shoot really long exposures on nex-6 (beyond 30 secs) and obviously bulb mode is the way to go, however i do have a problem finding proper RC for it. I know there are IR shutter release remote, but that needs to be pointed at the camera from the front of it, during the entire time of exposure, which is problematic if i'm shooting with super wide angle lens, and also for infrared photography. I know i can hold the RC just in front of IR receiver/sensor but then again imagine doing that for 5-10 minutes. From what i know nex-6 doesn't support wired cable release (shame). I also know there is also remote control app, but that doesn't support bulb mode (it would have been awesome to simply enter the time value into the app and let it do its thing).

I wonder if there is a workaround this, and perhaps maybe there's third party programmable shutter release on the market?

How about using Sonys shutter release along with "time lapse", I'm sure there must be a way to this, maybe a google jobbie lol

other way of doing it below

You could also use an owner grip, they have a remote port for jack input

Well this is for timelapse, and i believe there is an app for it. But not into timelapse so much.

These sort of require poking inside the camera, not too comfortable taking this route though. Camera's few months old, still under warranty and don't really want to risk it.

Is Ownuser grip available for Nex-6? The ones i saw were for 5/3/7.

I might just do a DIY project: get a rubber band (thick and strong enough) gluing some round plastic piece that will depress the shutter button, setting the camera on 10 second delay, and having the rubber band on shutter entire time. Should be nasty but easy enough. Ha.
