The 1:1.8 is the macro ratio that you can achieve with this lens without any additional magnification lens or something.
This auction, actually, is only the second time I see this lens. When I saw it for the first time, I bought it. But, as far as I can remember, I have paid € 30,- at a camera shop! According to performance, I would estimate that this lens is worth about € 80-100,- depending on condition.
