I have only heard good things about them, for being tiny but solid and with great viewfinders, but I don't know them in flesh. _________________ Juanma

My sole Olympus experience is with the XA-3 which has been a great little camera - as for the SLRs I've heard only good things like Juanma.
Ther's a couple of Oly using members on here I believe. |

I hear they are very good with one of the brightest viewfinders, but I
don't have enough Oly glass to warrant getting one--which is why I went
for the Nikon F, got lots in that mount. |

I've had 2 OM1s - they are great cameras. Dead reliable, go anywhere and do anything, never let you down. _________________ Dave

Everything I've heard about them has been fine - as far as I know there aren't any problems with them, but I've never owned a 10-40 series. _________________ Dave

| Some of the OM10-40 are aperture priority only. But you can get attachments that give you control over the shutter too. My recommendation is the OM-2n: completely underrated (because it was less mechanical than the OM-1 and didn't have the metering systems of the OM-3/4) so therefore very cheap, ?35-40 on a good day with a 50mm lens. |

All the single digit OM's are very good cameras. I didn't like the OM10 but the OM40 was very decent and is cheap. OM4TI is a dream camer? _________________ Richard

I have an OM-10 with the manual exposure attachment. Cute little thing with a very bright viewfinder.
Cheap on the Bay Click here to see on Ebay
Be prepared to replace the light seals, as on most cameras of that era. _________________ The gear I use : Samsung GX1s, a few Tamron, Pentax, East German and Russian lenses (Modded Canon G2 for IR).
