All were taken with manual focus lenses. Mostly CZ 50/1.4, CZ 135/2.8, and a few with a Helios 77M-4 with a modified square aperture.

controlled use of gear but with a strong element of chance, right down my alley,

stunning images, very creative. I love them. The square aperture is something I will certainly try.

Number 12 of the slideshow is the best, a great image in every respect. Cool

During New year's firework 2009 I happened to have my Pentax dSLR and a 1.4/50 Takumar with me but no tripod. Anyway I enjoyed playing and though results were nothing nearly as good as your's I liked some too. ( However I had made the mistake then and showed them in a forum, the pretty only reaction I got then was that I had used wrong settings ...)
