Sorry for the lousy photo!

Late arrival. A Nikon mount jupiter 9 - 85mm f2 - Non-AI (manual aperture control) but looks to be narrow enough to mount okay.

Make a test about infinity I am not sure this is an SLR lens, looks to me range finder lens.

Will do it's F bayonet though and doesn't look like a conversion.

Jupiter-9 made in two types one for SLR (looks like a normal 50mm lens) and for rangefinders bit longer shape.I don't know Nikon F available in rangefinder cams or not. I saw SLR lens only with M39 screw mount.

Congrats Richard and Merry Christmas
Even without infinity, Jup is a nice portrait lens
Mine is M42 and nice except flare wide open, maybe I should have wait for a MC one. My Helios 44-2 is better for flare and resolution wide open.

Been a bit busy with family but tested it at infinity and it's fine. Seems quite soft wide open but decent stopped down. Will post a couple of test shots soon. Not seen another in a Nikon mount so an interesting addition to my growing collection.

Oh and an as yet untested Mir-24N arrived this morning Very Happy

Wide open - quite soft, nice enough bokeh

Stopped down to f4 - decently sharp, seems a good performer, but need better weather!

Typically J9!
Very soft wide open, great for portraits, though.
And sharp when stopped down a bit. Even the step to f2.8 is visible, at f4 it gets really sharp.

This is a nice lens, wide open soft !? makes it to an excellent portrait lens.
