Old version (Sonnar scheme) of the more famous AI/AIS portrait lens (Planar scheme).
Very difficult light condition and extreme contrast. So really hard test. But I like the result. It's not as sharp as the AI (which I also have), but sharp enough for me:

Note also that my focusing was not accurate (I front-focused).

Exactly this is a really good lens.

It gives a very "fat" result 3D-wise with well defined masses and deep shadows, which I love, while the AI version (one of the sharpest lenses that I have) sometimes feels to me a bit "thin".

You can't go wrong with either one. Orio you can make any lens sing since you understand them so well

Orio
The sonnar shame (generally four or five elements) is more pleasant than the crisp planar shame (six, seven or eight elements) for portraits - for me, of course. May be lesser correction in the borders or/and less sharp in center.
One hibrid interesant was the biometar, but I didn't use this.

Very nice shots

Rounded is the term that first springs to mind - sharp enough but rounded
