Any functions what you find inconvenience or works badly or missing on new interface?

PostPosted: Tue Aug 04, 2015 7:46 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Attila, previously the link in the notification message was pointing directly to the posting concerned (at least on the PC). Now it's just directing to the top of the page and not to the posting.
That behavior was before only on the mobile interface but not on the PC. Now it's on both like this.
The optimum would be if the link in the notification message leads directly to the message concerned and not just on the top of the page which can be rather annoying especially on the mobile interface.
Could you eventually improve on this?

Attila, obviously that is related to my software and not your interface.

If I click on the link in Outlook then instead of "http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?p=1446153#1446153" only "http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?p=1446153" without the posting number is transferred to the browser.
Obviously this is a bug resulted from my migration from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and has nothing to do with your activities. Crying or Very sad

However, although this works on my Android device, i.e. both p and # are transferred to the browser, it doesn't scroll down to the related message. Very odd behavior.

Maybe this is a bug in Chrome.

Would be great if other users could enlighten me whether they have similar experiences.

So obviously the same problem is created due to different behaviors and/or reasons on Windows and Android and is not related to the link in the message. Strange enough.

Looks good to me. Website seems snappy compared to the old version.

btw sorry to bring this up, but this was linked to me earlier today and made me pause and think about the forums I would be saddened to just go away like this - http://www.davidebarranca.com/2015/08/in-memory-of-mike-hale-and-ps-scripts-com/

So I was just wondering if there are plans for a continuation of mflenses.com in the case of Attila becoming umm... compost all of a sudden?

Hope I'm not causing any offence in asking.

Crying or Very sad not a fun if somebody pass away, let's hope mflenses.com will live for long time.

The site looks great on mobile. I'm impressed.
Tried it on my Lg Volt with 4.7" screen and Kitkat 4.4.2.
Loaded fast and perfectly readable.
Im posting on my new phone. LG G Stylo with 5.7" screen and Lolipop 5.1.1.
Site looks even better on this phone.☺

Is their a way to post pictures when using a mobile device.?

PostPosted: Sat Sep 05, 2015 2:59 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Strange things are happening lately to me on firefox. When I click on "No new pm", I am not taken to my messages. When I click on "view latest post" in Dive Bar, oftentimes it does not work. Everything works as it should in Chrome. I thought it's new mobile interface, so switched to "oldmflenses" style, but no it did not fix it. This behavior started after the move to mobile profile, however, that's why I am posting it here.

Found a large problem. When you click on new topic their is no subject box, so their is no way to start a new thread using a mobile device.
As mentioned above , no way to post pictures.
Imoticons are also missing.
No big deal because most mobile devices have Imoticons on the keyboard.

I will investigate them , thank you guys!

So I can link a picture from my Imgur account.
Only the link shows, but atleast it works.

I tried to send a PM to another member, and you can't. No subject box.
So same problem as starting new threads.

on mobile due small space I did limited functionality, no new thread start is huge mistake, I will fix it ,thank you!
I not really like to accept picture from mobile, I saw on FB how lazzy people post always from mobile , in crappy resolution and quality, makes every picture to same useless.
Sometimes certainly very handy to post a snapshot from mobile, but risky to overload with low quality other pictures.

Let me be more specific. Sorry I wasn't clear.

The new topic button is there. When you click on it the box for the thread comes up.
The subject topic box is missing.

If you try to make a post this comes up:

You must specify a subject when posting a new topic.
