Am I the only one whose new message stars stay on for a long time even after the new message has been read?
This strange behaviour has begun yesterday.

It is very annoying.
Stars are a great help when they work, because they make browsing the forum easier. But when they don't work, like now for me, they make it a mess, and I end up many times on the same read messages because the stars don't go away. Mad

From the first day I was here, the stars have been inconsistent - sometimes working, sometimes not. I just learned to live with it using Firefox. I blamed the browser for some incompatibility with the site software, as IE seems to handle it ok.
That said, for the past two days it's been working fine in FF, so whatever has gone wrong has fixed it for me.

I am on Firefox also. Don't like IE, but if it makes the stars work, I guess I'll browse the forum with it.

Now the stars are back to normal behaviour.
We will never know a logical explanation for this, mysteries of the universe.

I use IE. I don't have any problems worth complaining about, but sometimes I find I've been logged out and then I see only blue stars and I can't post a message. More annoyingly, sometimes the yellow stars turn blue on their own and I miss new posts. I don't know where the read/unread data is stored - I would imagine on my machine somewhere and not on the website, but I could be wrong.

Another thing I find in Firefox is the message page loads only halfway or even stops loading with just the top message - funnily, it's always with the same posters - Orio mostly and Attila sometimes. At first I found if I logged out and reloaded the page it would work fine, but it was a real faff logging out and in all the time, so now I do the following...
I keep IE open and I paste the forum page address into that and it loads ok in IE, no stopping with a partial page. There's something odd about the way FF handles the forum html, or maybe the html is slightly broken or more suited to IE.
