Hey guys, I'm new here so please forgive me if this post is in the wrong section!

I just bought a Minolta Celtic 50mm f/3.5 Macro lens, and the aperture ring is very "gritty" feeling... almost as if there is very fine sand underneath. If I wanted to clean the aperture ring and relube it, would I need to take the whole lens apart? Is it hard/not worth it?
