Anyone know where I can procure an original lens cap for a Canon QL17 rangefinder...If I can't find an original, I'll look for an aftermarket one. Is the filter thread size 48mm?...I believe it is but am not sure, anyone know?

You mean the Canonette?
It is either 46 or 49, can't remember for sure, I'd lean more towards the 46 option.
Any generic cap of the correct size will work on it.

Unfortunately not, Attila. I own the original Canonet and the Canonet 28 but not the QL17.

Best regards.,
Jes.

I just ordered one from an eBay store in 49mm (snap cap) in researching it, I found several sites that said 48mm. In the Rangefinder forum, someone posted that them went to a camera store & tried a 49mm as the store had no 48mm & it worked...So, I ordered one ($2.99 shipping included) Thanks for the responses though...My posting will decline after Wensday as I have to go back to work (bummer). I had BPH surgery (Prostrate surgery)back on the 3rd & I've been off since then...I go back with light duty for 2 weeks & regular after that...Means my postings will be limited to nights & weekends as my wife allows it...
