I need some help identifying and putting a value on 2 lenses I bought today. I got both lenses and a pentax asahi body got $5. One Takumar 100mm 3.5 and a takumar 55mm 2.2. Can't find anything on this exact style. Any help is appreciated.





Both lenses are in mint condition as far as I can tell.

Gerjan von Oosten says the Asahi factory records indicate the 100/3.5 was never taken into production(!). However he had a copy in his collection. 1957-1958 Triplet

The 55/2.2 has 5/5 formula may 1957 - May 1959

Oh, wow... guessing it's kinda rare then, must be why I can't find much on it. Its staying in my collection, but I'd love to be able to put some kind of value on it. I just got it because I've never seen a takumar like that, with the black and silver. It has the original case and lens caps, in absolutely mint condition. Did you get that info from a book, if so could you send me a photo?

The Takumar 50/2.2 is fairly common.
recent ebay prices $20-68

It's a 55mm 2.2, not 50mm. Can you give a link, my search turns up nothing except a buy it now listing of $350

He's probably looking at ended listings, give that a try.

The 100mm 3.5 would be a real collectors Item. Try to sell it through an auction house.

re ebay - look in advanced, select sold listings, search for takumar 2.2
You are right, its 55mm not 50, and those 55mm are the ones l cited.

One semi auto version with camera sold for $280, but thats because the camera was an Asahiflex and thats got its own collectors value.

Those are all Auto-Takumars except one Click here to see on Ebay selling for $47. Searching for takumar 55 2.2 I get only 3 hits.

I get four Takumar, not auto Takumar, 55/2.2 in sold listings, and another Auto Takumar 55/2.2 on an Asahiflex.

Searching completed listings for takumar 2.2 I get only two; the one for $47 and one for $68. The $20 and $280 are auto.

Increasing the search to 'worldwide' might make the difference.
