Yes, I will have two SMC Takumar 15/3.5 AL in some days. I bought the second just to keep its front cap Razz (I only have a leather Voigtlander for this one, that does not fit very good the hood)

I have it since thursday, in near mint condition with its caps, I already bought the special hood some month ago, I'm just lacking its case
Laughing

The 58/2 and the 83/1.9 are also the only one important optical formulae I don't have Smile

That's a sweet collection to have, and it's safe to say you have successfully transferred to the dark side - my own particular mania started one Friday evening with a S-M-C 3.5/135 which a friend gave me as part of a bag of free lenses...my signature now speaks for itself Embarassed

Not me!

PostPosted: Tue Aug 10, 2010 8:59 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Not me. Too much for a pseudo gold lens, this is obviously not a lens that comes from a golden body : they are much brighter, and full covered with gold, this one had a silver part remaining. My max price for this lens will be around 300€, and not for a wreck at this price. I just have to put the 83mm sonnar on the 5D to have approximatively the same thing as the 58/2 on an APS-C sensor, with a shallower dof Very Happy

PostPosted: Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:18 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Not I, although I was following the auction - I've sourced one through a contact in much better shape (not gold though, thankfully), which will cost me a very small fraction of that final price. I knew that holding on to the second copy of the Kogaku 3.5/135 would prove useful some day - he's taking it as part payment plus a small sum of cash from me Wink

That actually looked brass to me. I figured one of the usual suspects out bid me on it. Laughing

I just got (another) one of these gems mounted on a AP camera.

I finally received it : Takumar 300/4, first version Very Happy For the comparison, this is a 3/3 design, 1400g, while the latest Takumar 300/4 (Super & S-M-C) is a 5/5 design, of approx 950g and much shorter Wink

Click here to see on Ebay
Is it someone from here ? As I could buy one in the same condition (complete too) for 365€ with 6 months warranty at a professionnal shop some times ago, I didn't go enough high and I'm only the second Mad
