I already seen it, but with my last buyings, I have to wait to sell unused lenses. And 115EUR is rather high for me, I'll try to get it at cheaper price Twisted Evil

The seller is still trying to sell it Razz

A gorgeous collection CarbonR, any Tak fan would be GREEN with envy, me included!

Do you have any old cameras to go with them?

PostPosted: Sat Feb 21, 2009 10:40 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

I have 14 35mm film cameras Razz Including 6 M42, including 2 Pentax : Black S1a and Chrome ESII, all unusable (I used the S1a, after the 3rd film I'll stop it, too many leaf problems, last film, only 9 shots of 36 were). With the Auto Takumar 35/2.3, I'll receive a H3V which would be working Smile

Hi, Pentax fans.

I'm not one but interesting in 200/5,6 and 105/2,8 preset.

Anyone can help me?

Are both lenses sharp? not? which is unsharp?

Thank you, guys, very much.

Rino.

I don't have the 200/5.6 (I'm waiting for a bargain Razz ) but have a Super Takumar 105/2.8, it seems rather good and an interesting lens for close portraiture Smile

I see you have the Super Takumar 35/2 V1, I heard that it is sharpest than the second version with 49mm filter (both Super and A-M-C Takumar), do you agree with this ? (at least, so you find it sharp even wide opened ?) Smile

PostPosted: Sat Feb 21, 2009 10:05 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

I have both of them. According to my experience, the later is sharper wide-open (likely due the MC), the older is sharper stopped down.

S-M-C 35/3.5 is the sharpest.

It just arrived in the post on Thursday so I haven't had the opportunity to test-drive it yet. My brother in law and I are going to an old graveyard tomorrow to do some shooting and it's one of the lenses I'm planning to take with me.

If I get anything decent, I'll post it - I'm hoping to be impressed by it Wink

The only thing I can say is 'Wow' to the collection. If you were to choose one as your favourite, which will that be?

PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 12:44 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Hard to choose only one. The three I mainly use are the 135/2.5, 85/1.8 and 35/2 I think Wink But for the design, I prefer the Takumar 135/3.5, so beautiful with chrome finish Smile

CarbonR, for sheer beauty, I agree that the Takumar 135/3.5 preset is simply gorgeous. Petite, lightweight, not especially sharp, and decked out with chrome and black in a very satisfying design.

I take that to mean that when it comes to the IQ, you prefer the 135/2.8? I only ask because a 135 is most likely going to be my next purchase (and it will be my first 135) and so I'm keen learning about that focal length.

rawhead and Mal: Yes, I really like the "look" of the Revueflex body - elegant and with fine "corners" and angles. It seemed to be a great match with the old 135/3.5!

The 135 is not a "sharpness king" but sometimes it doesn't matter, and you have to let your hair down and enjoy just for the visual value as much as for performance.

The Revueflex and Tak 135 reside at front row center in a glass case. Cool
