Hi guys
I will use this topic to introduce myself and my MF lens collection.
I'm 32, and dwell in France near Paris.
I use a Eos 350D (Rebel) withs 18-55 EFS, 50mm 1.8 ef and 70-300 Sigma Apo Super.
In the past i used a Praktica BCA, and then start to buy some M42 lens. (not suitable with the B prakticas)
Now i can use on the EOS :
Pentacon 50mm f1.8
Pentacon 135mm f2.8
Prakticar 80-200mm f4.5 (constant)
Helios 44/2 58mm f2 (two different copies)
TAIR 3S 300mm f4.5
Rollei distagon 35mm f2.8 HFT
Rollei Planar 50mm f1.8 HFT
You can see those lens HERE
I am looking for more informations about :
- the Pentacon 135mm, photographs of different versions, and which one has the "16" blades diaphragm ?
- the prakticar 80-200 f4.5. I did not found anything on the web about it.
Thanks |

Nice to see you here and thank you for introduce your self!
Prakticar zoom lenses are not same quality than previous DDR fix lenses , they are quite rare and average lenses. I have all variant of Pentacon 135mm lenses you able to find many sample shoots in Gallery. I love all variants , but my Nr1. favourite is zebra lens labeled Pentacon it has lot of blades and produce beautiful images.

Pentacon 50mm f1.8 is a great lens, I like it. Tair 300mm f4.5 a superb lens good as than any well know name like Nikkor 300mm or Carl Zeiss Jena 300mm f4. Do you have photo sniper version of Tair or stand alone lens ? (focusing in normal way or with a screw under the barel ?) _________________ -------------------------------

You can get an M42-PB adapter that lets you use most M42 lenses except the preset ones with a rear 'nose'.
I've had a BC-1 for twenty plus years and used M42 glass on it via the adapter. |
