I'm not even thinking about closing the aperture Smile it's amazing! Very sharp in focus and very blurry and smooth in defocus! Definitely - keeper!

Contax Planar has more busy bokeh, more like my SMC Pentax M 50 1.7, this one is something completely different Smile.

Excellent shooting, the portraits in particular are something else...superb!

As for the comparison with a Planar...these two are very different lenses IMO Smile

Depends what you are after, the Zenitar has nicer bokeh but the Planar is sharper with better contrast and pop. Saying that, the first shot in this series certainly has some pop about it Smile

Once again, great series and some of the best shots I've seen with this lens!

Yeah, I need one of these... Awesome pictures, although a lens is not the bee all, it can make a huge difference.

I expect I'll die of shock when I see the pricing though Shocked

I had one too mounted on a Contax 167MT, an incredibly good lens indeed. Very nice samples.

Wonderfull images! I am also interested in this lens to mount it on a dslr like a Nikon D7000 or D800 with an adapter but i was wondering about the performance of this lense for landscapes. Will this lens shoot sharpness in the whole shot at f.i. F5.6-F8? Can you show us some photos with these (high) F-stops? There isn't much info on the internet about this lens.

Thanks and keep up the good work!! Very Happy
