I hope you are not getting sick of these parrots. The light was harder today as it was overcast and only a few brief patches of good light...plus the tree they are on is in the shadow of the house....then my kids came out to play just as the parrot came very close the last 3 shots...the parrots left Sad There is PP on most to brighten the image and bring out the colors on the birds.

#8 I liked the comparison of the bokeh and the roughness of the bird head.

#5 bright eye always winner to me , thank you for this lovely series. Try to a bit overexpose next time it will come out more nicely.

Thanks for sharing Mo,
Agree with Attila, standard animal image is focus on eye

You're right. #8 looks like the bird was designed to have mirror lense bokeh camouflage. Laughing I like #9 as well...it shows just how sharp this lense can be.

Mo are you using the clear filter when shooting?

Yes ,I took the mount off and the Normal filter was in place on the back of the lens.

Fine ones again, Moïra.

About the rear filter, the owner's manual says to let the normal filter in place to obtain the best performances.

With his lens, we need light to shoot with sufficient speed.
#7 is great : 1/500s at iso 800.
the following are less good with less light which give 1/250s at iso 800.

#4 One of those "I will just try to photograph a flying bird" and it paid off...Cockatoos fly relatively slowly so you are in with a chance to at least get it in the frame.
