Here is my modified to M-mount G-Biogon 2.8/21mm, and some test shots.

The modified lens looks this w UV/IR cut filter (55mm) without a hood and Cosina's ext. finder 28/35

It can be focused up to 0.8m, the rest can be done by guessing up to 0.3m

The above two shots are developed PSElement with Raw.plugin 4.5 (can handle D700's raw's)
with AUTO mode, all were shot @f8 hand-held with Makro-Planar 2/50 ZF + D700.

Here is some boring shots, the lens is quite good modestly speaking Very Happy all @f4

focused @people

The above three shots are processed by ConerFix(tm) first to eliminate Cyan shift
(actually red vignetting), then developed by C1v4 (Capture One version 4). It has
default USM (130,0.8,0), other option used to develop raw's are in all auto mode.

The followings are 100% crops of the above three photos (centre and corner pairs)

trees are out of focus

A question: you always have to photograph with a red filter in front of the lens with a M8?

@Sandy
Thanks, I am OK. Very Happy

@Orio
Yes, I do. Without this UV/IR cut filter, UV/IR sensitive M8 gives you
funny colour shifted results. For wider lenses such as Biogon 21mm,
you might have to fix red colour vignetting too, if your lens does not
have 6-bit code which helps M8 to compensate red vignetting. Shocked
