The design of the lens looks interesting: a six elements double-Gauss with a lens turbo at the rear. Wink

They are really making some incredibly fast lenses. Apparently, their image quality is great, but I haven't yet picked up one to be able to speak to it myself.

Funny I thought I saw a mini lens turbo setup in the rear of that Matikon lens diagram. Razz

Less usable.

DOF is non-existent and focal length does not allow for any covert operations.

0.95/300 would be much more impressive and a real revolution, too.

I don't know why this made me laugh. Laughing

Covert operations is not high on my list of lens selection criteria I guess. If a 0.95/50 has an unusably narrow DOF, I doubt a 0.95/300 would be any more usable.

The difference is where you use 50 and where 300mm lens.

Also, 50/0.95 was first created about half century ago, so nothing special to celebrate.

The price and performance seem rather special apparently.

Sure, especially if it does not need a horse cart wagon or sled...

I think the pictures speak for themselves. It just does not draw that nicely.
At this price range one can get a f1.2 lens that draws much better and probably built better as well.[/code]

I'm not making any conclusions till I see more pictures.

You should find it worth every cents, Lars. Wink

Here is some unprofessional comparison of Contax G45/F2, MC58/F1.2, Canon 50/F1.2L, FE55/F1.8 form the same Chinese forum. The OP will post omparison on color will be posted later.

I guess it has been written numerous times, but that FE55 is just blazing sharp (without using anything special in its construction).
I hope something similar or even faster will come out towards the end of the year, when Zeiss will present a few manual focus FE lenses.

Well... there was a huge delay because all the lenses they produced for the preorders was faulty. I waited for several months until I gave up and bought a couple of nice Nikkor LTM lenses instead Confused

Congrats to your new Nikkor LTM collection.

From what I read, the reason for the delay is a bit different than what you have mentioned...
