I've wanted to try this lens, and I came across this one on the Bay, and couldn't resist. I will have to make an adapter for it, but that will be fun.
I will test it as soon as I get it, probably handheld.

I have this lens Walter, it's really good, sharp wide open, a unique 8 element design.
You can make an adapter as I did, I took the Miranda bayonet from a TC and stuck it on a NEX extension tube which I then adjusted for infinity by how far I screwed the two parts of the tube together, finally fixing it in that position with some epoxy:
Shot these wide open:
I forget what aperture these were at:

I got my copy dirt cheap because it has a scratch on the front lens, makes no difference to IQ though.
Look forward to seeing some samples from yours, I really rate this lens. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

There are Miranda M-L adapters, which allow Miranda lenses to attach to M39 (LTM) cameras. It might be possible to attach a Miranda lens to a mirrorless digital camera with this adapter combined with an M39 adapter. I haven't tried this.
These Miranda M-L adapters aren't that common E-bay. You might see one come up every few months. _________________

Don't worry Joseph, Miranda lenses are pretty cheap, an the 1.4/50 is not too hard to find, when it does come along it's the cheapest 1.4/50 around by a fair margin and well worth the investment.
The Miranda cameras are also excellent, the build quality puts most others to shame. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
