A very nice lens, well build, that in my opinion is at the top of the MIRs, just after the MIR-24 :

Beautiful series of such idyllic surroundings! The closeup you made of
the driftwood in the river bottom I can use in a tank! So the Dolomite
alps are farther north then, have to check a map.
What are the yellow flowers called? |

Have you noticed in picture 4847 how well it does with the flare and ghosting?
And note, NO HOOD !
It's impressive. It beats hands down the Tamron 28mm f/2.5 and even my Nikkor 28mm. f/2
Only my Distagons do as well.
Those Soviets were not strong in democracy but what the heck, they knew how to build the lenses!

Farther North and farther East.
The hills you see in my pictures are the beginning of the Apennines, the other big mountain chain of Italy, that starts in Liguria near the French border, and goes all the way down to the bottom tip of Calabria.
Apennines are much older mountains than the Alps.

Actually, I don't know. I have to ask our flower expert. I am expert of trees but don't know the flowers, especially the wild ones. _________________ Orio, Administrator

I didn't get too close, it looked like the perfect serpent's nest: bushy, stoney, sun-hot, and near the water... _________________ Orio, Administrator

Yes we have plenty of vipers in the country. We also have big non poisonous green snakes, which do nothing to man, but still creep the **** out of me _________________ Orio, Administrator

Ahh really nice photos! The only thing I don't like is the bokeh in _MG_4832. The flare photo is really nice, the lens manages to keep a lot of contrast despite the flare. |

Yes it's very difficult to find a good bokeh in lenses of 28mm focal lenght. _________________ Orio, Administrator

yep
It is possible also with 28mm, but it's a fact that the shorter the FL, the deeper the DOF, and the more difficult the bokeh.
On top of that, many lens builders always look for more microcontrast in the wide angle lenses of 28 or shorter, because they need to make visible things that become progressively smaller on the frame. Microcontrast is however a fierce enemy of the bokeh. _________________ Orio, Administrator

I found it at last! Verbascum Thapsus, common name Great Mullein. I don't think it's aromatic.
