I know some love and hate the samples that come from the mir-1 but I figured I'd share some shots I made recently. All are scanned from print adjusted only for scanner washout. The shots were made wide open ( f2.8 ). Shot with a hand-held Praktica FX at 1/10th speed (maybe not making for the sharpest pictures in the world). Fuji Reala 100 film. Tell me what you think!

I like them because they're very "fresh". I saw similar shots now very appreciated in some of the most important stock agencies (people is pretty tired to see artificial looking models).

Tech quality in those situations isn't that important but while the Mir surprisingly didn't flare with all those artificial lights, the sensia film really shines out with impressive colours. I hope to have one roll in the refrigerator Laughing

I'm not sure that I like them - but I keep coming back to have another look !

Please do elaborate! I wasn't expecting everyone to like them so criticism is certainly welcome. I just wish my scanner gave justice to the original set of colors which are much much more vibrant.

Have you ever noticed that this lens creates very strong red hue?
So perfect for B&W lenses....
In terms of sharpness, yes.. its not the best...
But who cares. You should know the strength of your tools, thats matter...
