Hello
Today i buy a minolta rokkor 18mm f9.5 (10e only).
I notice that the blade aperture don't open wide at the minimum 9.5 aperture.
Is this normal ?
Is there a way to open the blade more wide ?
( I ask this because on my minolta 35-70mm f3.5 i unlock the aperture mecanisme so i can have +-2.8 at 35mm ).
Thanks
EDIT :
I forgot the pictures :

Probably yes - but i didn't try it, because they obviously did it to ensure a decent quality. The Minolta 9.5/18 Fisheye was very short-lived (introduced 1966, replaced 1969 by the 2.8/16mm Fisheye). At f11 it works quite fine on 24 MP FF, but it's not as good as the later MD/MD 2.8/16mm.

Thank You very much Thomas!
I love these simple lens desings from the past. Our predessesors gave us nice lenses without the help of computers etc.
No aspheric, no floating elements, no extreme exotic diffration values, only simple good old school optic.
Of course modern optics with zillions of theses features are better performers, but I'm always impressed
what opticans were able to do in the old times. _________________ T*homas
