A 6 element enlarger lens. Good image quality. It probably beats the MC 3.5/50 Macro Rokkor.

Thanks! It's very simple, M42-E-mount helicoid and M39-M42 adapter to the lens.

Excellent, as many enlarger lesnes are!

As enlarging lenses go, the Minolta C.E. Rokkor 50mm 2.8 is a little unusual in that it is 6 elements but in 5 groups, most high end EL's are 6-4.

I've noticed this lens has a lot of field curvature when focused at infinity, so edges tend not to be sharp as a result, however it is very sharp in the central area.

Yes I just look at one of my infinity focus shots and I agree. But it's nowhere near Steinheil Cassarit levels Very Happy
