A five-shot stitched pano of Agia Galini on Crete, Greece, a couple of nights ago. Shot with a Micro-Nikkor 55/3.5 on a Canon 5D Mk2.
It is sharp as a razor, right across the frame (and 7,500 pixels wide in the final version) _________________ View or buy my photos at:

Here's the same scene, shot with a 35mm Flektogon. I had to narrow the angle a bit to get a decent shot but it gives some idea of the effective focal length that the stitched shot has produced. _________________ View or buy my photos at:

Wonderful results!
Agia Galini is very nice, I visited there last time in July 2006. Not as crowded as many small cities on Crete, and the nightlife was very nice _________________ Vilhelm

It's very quiet at the moment. I tried to find some nightlife but all I managed to get was a hangover. There are a lot of nice, quiet places from Agia Galini going West on the South Coast, all the way to Palaeochora ... Plakia, Frankokastelli, Chora Sfakion, Loutro, Selia (? not sure if that's the right name - it's a really nice out-of-the-way place --- I meant Sougia) and Palaeochora itself are all worth visiting.
Here's the view from the top of the hill looking east - another big stitching job
It shouldn't really be here, as it was shot with an AF lens ... but I did have it switched to manual, so perhaps that counts (Canon 70-200 f2.8L) _________________ View or buy my photos at:

Nice shots. Seems to be still a beautiful place.
Very interesting to see this little village 37 years later
