I have been testing monopods, tripods and ball heads, trying to find the best price/performance for these parts.

*** due to the increased shipping charges ***

The following MFL 3010 tripod + ball head costs EUR79 (USD99 ) shipped by air to most Europe and North America and Australia.
If shipped by sea (which may take 4- 8 weeks!), there is a EUR10 (USD13) discount.

Additional quickrelease plates cost eur5/ usd6 shipped when ordered with the tripod.

Setup is easy, very similar to Manfrotto, however, it does not have the 90 degrees turnable center column.

It uses similar click locks, and is made of nice black anodized alloy.

The 3010 version i have tested has the following specs
Max height: 1.5m
Min height: 0.4m
Folded Length: 0.6m
Max weight capacity: 4kg

Max weight capacity: 2.9kg (ballhead)

It comes with a nice robust ball head, which can handle about 2.9kg.

I saw several items from Alex, macro tube, lens adapter, caps etc all was best what is possible from HK , based on this experience I really believe in his judgment. I also thinking to take this tripod at this price real bargain.

Wow then I think I might be a possible customer Smile. If the product is worth it (and I think that knowing Alex is worth it) could it be possible to get pictures about the tripod in action Very Happy, like a kind of review or something Very Happy.

Congratulations for your excellent work Alex Very Happy.

These products are sold by many other private labels. I am using one myself. Quality is very good, especially if you take the price into consideration.

This ballhead looks exactly like a Bogen-Manfrotto 486RC2, complete with their RC2 quick-release plate. Is it?
If it is, I'm going to kick myself for having spent more on a Bogen-branded head. Shocked
Then again, I may be able to cancel the order for the ballhead and buy from Alex/Attila. Can you guys offer the 488RC2 head at similar savings?

How much, in USD, for just the QR plate?

If nobody is reviewed the tripod, I think that maybe I'll be the first one to do it Very Happy.

Has anyone ordered one and tested it out yet? I'm on the fence--it looks pretty nice, but I have some level concern as to how it would hold up to my 300mm f2.8 and d200 with battery grip.

I think it would be stable. I just ordered one and this week has been shipped so I guess that in 14 days it will be around Very Happy.

That folded height of almost 24" is with or without the ball head?

Perhaps someone can steer me in the direction of a travel tripod, legs only. I am looking for something folded around 16"-18" or 40 cm-45cm approx. No more than 3 pounds in weight, 1.4 kg. Preferably with flip locks on the legs.

Trying to keep the cost new or used around $200 US or less.
