Hello.

Got this lens for a cheap, tried it on NEX. Quality is mixed bag - while it's a dreamy lens, CA and distortions are pretty well corrected. Of course, there is no infinity focus and in fact, it is possible only to use it as Head and some shoulders portrait lens. But looking at rear element, I see perspective of slimming metal for 2-3mm extra, which should provide more usable focus range. To accomplish this, I need to take this lens apart and modify rear element holder. Since this is quite rare and not cheap lens, I don't want to destroy it. So maybe someone have taken it apart, how to remove rear block?

Center crop @ NEX5, no PP, overcast evening, 20:25

Contrast adjustment and downsize only:

Overall, this is very capable lens. Considering it was used for B/W imaging, it's amazing how well it's corrected for CA and distortions.

Bokeh is super smooth at all distances, as expected from a such large aperture lens:

In fact, I was not able to get ANY bokeh circles at all, to see how they look.

There's a small screw on the "big" part of the lens. It should be unscrewed and then big and smaller parts can be also unscrewed. Guessed by myself, lens converted to M42 and is available for exchange or sale.
