I couldn't search and find the picture gallery for the Rokkor 58.
Can someone sow me the way...?
I have a couple of them here, but my skill doesn't do the justice for the outstanding lens.

You can use the Upload picture button above the new message window to post a pic direct from your PC, or you can put the URL of a pic between the IMG tags. Please make sure your pics are no wider than 900px.

There's an anti-spam restriction that won't let you post images to start with, not sure exactly how it works. Attila will sort it.

PapadakosPanagiotis, these are very nice samples showing the great bokeh.

You can see the bokeh quality at the photo of this page and also how to modify it with an M42 adapter:
http://www.cogitech.ca/Rokkor/index.html

For good bokeh teles can also be good and budget friendly Very Happy I love my Tamron Adaptall2 80-200 f:3.8-4 (M42 Adaptall2 + M42-EOS adapter) for its bokeh quality, it's soft when wide opened but softness is nice for portraits and you can't blame it with cosidering it's very low price tag. But if you want a low light performer with great bokeh, I guess this piece is one of the unbeatable ones.

Here is Mine...Testing wide open...

And another wide-open one with very busy background;

my focusing skill doesn't deserve this lens...especially at 1.2... Sad

Here's mine. This was taken while testing the lens during mount modification. I screwed up my drilling (was watching the UEFA Finals at the same time), and was only able to get two screws mounted. I need to do it again with another adapter I recently received. The lens is now under the sun bleaching itself of the radioactive yellow cast.

Edited: Image URL change to reflect smaller size.

"The lens is now under the sun bleaching itself of the radioactive yellow cast." Is sun good for that? I've a Super Takumar 50/1.4 with yellowish cast and I'm curious at the moment Smile

Many people confirmed it works. I wish you luck !

Besides the sun, you can also buy a UV flashlight. I heard, it works faster. Reportedly with the flashlight only 2 days are needed to clear the yellowing instead on 2 weeks under the sun.

I honestly doubt that an UV flasglight will work considering the amount of UV energy contained.

Speciliazed UV hardening lights, such as my Novacure for instance emit 25.000mW per square centimeter and should be ideal for that.

Sun is still the best, but NOR behind a normal glass window which partly/mostly blocks UV light. I also recommend to warpe the lens half in aluminum foil so as a make a mirror for UV which doubles the effect on the yellowed glass. A shaded outside balcony south should work best (rain protection!!).

Yes, it works. I did on Prakticar 50/1.4 (first version) on two full days with UV-flash lamps($12 from eBay seller), yellowing disappeared more than half way (not completely gone yet). I am very pleased, will try it again some other day. Used 6 AAA batteries all together (2 sets of three each).
